MEETING NOTES AND ACTION ITEMS

  • Fun fact:  One year ago today we went live with ServiceNow.
  • Julio's presentation on Configuration Management took the full hour.  Chloe's talk on the changes to the enhancement request process will be moved to the next meeting.
  • DJ Martin to talk with Adriene Radcliffe and Julio about items in the application inventory that are being retired and will not need to be brought into ServiceNow
  • The Calgary upgrade for ServiceNow is not yet available for release.  It is still in beta testing.
  • Discussed exposing the Configuration Items in the Service Catalog as well as Incident, Problem and Change
    • The Request/Service Catalog Process Owner (Ricardo Chavira) would discuss this with the Configuration Management Process Owner (Julio Valdes)
  • Discussed whether or not an information request should be entered into the Incident or Request module
    • People make arguments for both sides.  This is something that needs to be discussed further with the Incident Process Owner (Mark Kovacs) and the Request Process Owner (Ricardo Chavira)
  • The Test and Training instances of ServiceNow are open for testing/playing.  Instances can be found here:
