Enabling HP ALM with "unsupported" browsers

HP Application Lifecycle Management 11.52.341 claims to be incompatible with with version of IE later than 10.

The reality is that it simply doesn't recognize the value of the browser's "UserAgent".

To get the application work, you have to impersonate an earlier version of IE, and this is done using the "Emulation" function in the "Developer Tools".

Select Tools from the Menu Bar, and select F12 Developer Tools from the drop-down.

Find and click the Emulation icon on the left, then choose "Internet Explorer 10" from the drop-down for User agent string.

There are ways to force HP ALM to function with other browsers too, but that's not covered here.
