How Do I Add a COA in Spinup?

Adding a Chart of Accounts (COA) to your Spinup Space is required for billing purposes when using paid resources. This guide explains how to add or update a COA in an existing Space.

Prerequisites

  • You must be the Space owner or have appropriate permissions to edit the Space.

  • A valid COA string must be provided by your business office or department administrator.

Steps to Add or Update a COA

  1. Log in to Spinup
    Go to https://spinup.internal.yale.edu and sign in with your Yale NetID.

  2. Navigate to Your Space
    From the homepage, click the name of the Space where you want to add or update the COA.

  3. Open Space Settings
    Click the Settings tab located within your Space dashboard.

  4. Edit the COA Field

    • Find the COA section.

    • Enter or update the COA string. Ensure there are no typos.

  5. Save Your Changes
    Click Save to apply the new billing information.

Note: If you are unsure which COA string to use, reach out to your department administrator or financial coordinator.
