Creating your own dashboard can be problematic sometimes since the add gadget functions don’t always work. There will be some shared dashboards available for you to make a copy of and customize after.There are a few steps you have to follow in order to create a dashboard" 

  1. Figured out what you want to be displayed in your dashboard (specific issue types, what projects, priority levels, etc) 
  2. Create a custom filter (if applicable)
  3. Use Dashboard Gadgets. 

Gadgets are the dashboards components so you will use these to create your dashboard. Many gadgets need a set up filter and others just need to be configured. 

Step-by-step guide

Creating a dashboard:

  1. On you left side navigation click on Image Added
  2. Click on Dashboards on the top left and select View all dashboards
  3. There will be a Create dashboard button on the right.
  4. When you go to the dashboard you have just created there will be an Add gadget button. 
  5. There is a broad list of gadgets you can choose from, and they can be configured. 
    1. If you gadget needs a filter, you must create a filter first.

Sharing a Dashboard:

  1. When creating your dashboard you have the option to allow other people/groups to view and copy your dashboard.
  2. You may also do this later by editing your dashboard.
  3. The default is private.

Here are some steps to share your dashboard: 

  1. On your dashboard page click on the right top corner on the Image Added
  2. Select edit dahboard
  3. Under shares you can choose to share your dashboard by projects, groups, etc.

Copying/Favorite Dashboards:

  1. Click on Dashboards on the top left and select View all dashboards
  2. Click Search on the left and then click the Search button to search all available dashboards
  3. Click on the dashboard you want.
  4. Click on the button on the top right and click copy dashboard
  5. Now you can create it as your own.
  6. You may also just favorite the dashboard by clicking the Star next to the dashboard. This will not let you make any changes to the dashboard though.

  1. You can favorite more than one dashboard which will allow you to navigate between them easier. They will show up on the left side when you are viewing your dashboards. You may also select them after clicking the Dashboards tab at the top.
